I mentioned the extremely wonderful 3D CG mini-series known as Fireball back in 2008. The 2nd season is coming out in April this year, so I decided to refresh my memory on the series and re-watch it for the Nth time.
And what better place to re-watch than on Niconico, where you can enjoy it with thousands of people!
It's great fun to watch it in one go. The 23-minute flew by so fast!! The show is full of neta, but one doesn't need to fully understand them to appreciate the show. The CG animation and the fluid movements are top notch, so are the voice acting.
Now I just need to hunt down the ドロッセル figma that I've been looking for...

カレー実験第二弾
Experiment #2: Minced pork curry
Ingredients involved: curry, minced pork, carrot, blue berries (the left over sour berries from the purple rice porridge), grape tomatoes, water, yogourt drink
Steps:
- Pan fry the minced pork a bit so it's not in one giant meat ball
- Throw everything else into the pot and let boil in medium heat
- Watch a few episodes of anime
- Stir and done
Result: Success!
Since the pot was over 3/4 full with the raw materials before I even added water and curry, I thought one pack might not be enough, so I put in two packs of curry, with different degrees of spiciness.
The end result turned out rather well, although it was somewhat viscous because I didn't really have much room for water in the pot. That should be easily remedied with a small helping of yogourt drink before consumption.
There is just one little problem, however, with the curry. Unlike the blue berries which are soft skinned and blend well with the rest, the grape tomatoes still maintain their own and pack a sour punch when eaten. I find myself making a >x< face whenever I bite down on one. I think I'll refrain from using them as raw materials for curry in the future.

何この贅沢な声優陣ｗｗ
Started watching the ぬらりひょんの孫 anime a few days ago. I already knew the seiyuu cast for the anime version is very heavy when I saw the PV on Niconico, but I still got blown away by the number of big name seiyuu when I actually started watching.
Granted, I have yet to hear my top seiyuu, but the cast I've heard so far (up to ep.5) is luxurious enough already. Most of the named male characters so far (15+ that I recognized) are voiced by seiyuu who regularly play leads or otome game playable characters*. Even the guest characters that only appear for one or two episodes are voiced by famous seiyuu.
*otome games attract their customers mainly by seiyuu, so the playable characters are voiced by popular seiyuu 90% of the time. Even if a new or less well known male seiyuu voices a playable character in an otome game, it can be a big break for him. If the character or the game is popular, then it can even akin to playing a lead role in an anime.
On the female side, Horie Yui just spells win, not to mention there's also Arai Satomi and Kakazu Yumi. Hirano doesn't count for me since she's not on my radar. I have yet to hear good enough acting out of her other than Haruhi and Konata. I know there's also Asumi Kana, but I can't recognize her voice (which means she's also not on my radar) so she doesn't count.
Even the narration is voiced by someone I'm becoming rather familiar with lately. It's the same guy who does the narration for WEED (and plays Akame)! Needless to say, I feel like I'm watching WEED whenever he speaks. XD
Oh, and I still hear Lelouch sometimes when the night Rikuo does the preview. XD
Surprise Omake:
I almost spew out water when I heard Sugita as the frail-bodied Zen in ep.2.
I also had to pause to laugh when I confirmed that the weird host-like guy is indeed played by Koyasu, which I guessed from the single under-his-breath cold laugh at the beginning of ep.3.

上一話跟著被流放的前殺手一起叛出的年輕火爆小子被前殺手的仁義教誨感動到，可是沒臉就這樣回到我方陣營。這時奉待機隱身於奧羽的伊賀忍犬總帥之命，傳令給我方小小大將最終決戰場所的治癒役擔當的小正太亂入！雙方皆於瞬間判斷對方為敵，追逐之下到了我方陣營的面前。
小小大將解開火爆小子一夥對小正太的誤會，沒事般地介紹火爆小子為同伴，可是火爆小子還是拉不下臉回隊。小小大將狠狠地給火爆小子一記頭槌，撞完後爽朗地招呼火爆小子一起動身（いい大将だ（つд｀））。
聽了小正太的傳令及來途見聞的消息，我方立即朝二子峠前進。小小大將考慮到大家的體力消耗，讓大家在二子峠的外區休息，帶了甲賀忍犬小哥、本作スミス役擔當的好人兄、曾經是敵方角色的俄國獵狼犬、及火爆小子潛入敵境偵察。
另一方面，敵方魔王對於身邊全都是臭男人非常不滿，之前派出去找女人的部下全部無功而返，就讓弟弟從幹部候補中挑選強手，以便狩獵一直妨礙他們找女人的伊賀總帥一行人。
伊賀總帥可不是掛名而已（銀牙時代我最喜歡的角色～），當然知道敵軍的打算，帶了同期的戰友甲斐大叔去觀察敵方エロ犬ども的動向。之前冒死衝出重圍求救的甲斐大叔外甥帶了前陸奧四天王的後代回來救援，結果好死不死遇上之前設下重圍的敵方魔王之弟跟挑選出的好手。當然，外甥這邊不管是人數或戰力完全不是對手，伊賀跟甲斐大叔為了搭救他們加入戰局，但是陸奧組即使把敵方有穿裝備的土佐鬥犬當熊來攻撃也沒什麼效果。
危機逼近伊賀等人之時，一聲怒吼傳來！小小大將的偵察隊出現加入混戰！甲賀小哥重創魔王之弟，好人兄跟火爆小子也大為活躍，俄國獵狼犬更是展現了華麗的技巧，混戰熱血度加倍！
轉眼敵方只剩魔王之弟跟土佐鬥犬兩人，戰鬥就差一步就能結束。但是敵方斥候回報魔王，敵方二頭目的愛爾蘭獵狼犬這時帶領大批援軍出現，瞬時扭轉局勢！
我方陷於不利之地，最後利用伊賀總帥所預測的暴風雪撤退。吹雪之中，甲賀小哥跟甲斐外甥依舊與魔王之弟纏鬥，滾下山谷，當場撞得魔王之弟頭破血流。
暴風雪過後，甲賀小哥及甲斐外甥與我方合流，敵方二頭目則帶著部下在山谷下掘出了魔王之弟。但是魔王之弟的頭似乎撞壞了，雖然保住一命，可是神智混亂。一開始就想幹掉魔王自己做頭但是被魔王瞬殺壓制的二頭目，見到頭腦壞掉的魔王之弟，不懷好意地奸笑了（誤）。
呼姆，不過展開再怎麼有趣也是原作在有趣，而且據説這是省略了很多精彩戰鬥場景的結果，所以漫畫應該會更熱血。老話一句，這部的作畫還是一樣完全不能跟1986年的銀牙・流れ星銀相比（剛才在只有一盞小燈的房間裡又翻了半本漫畫，我想看銀牙的動畫啊～～～）。雖然比起目前看過崩最大的上一話，這一話變成還不錯，不過只是相比之下，還是一樣有崩。
這部果然大家都超在意作畫，常常還沒放來看，讀上面的TAG就知道這一話的作畫程度～XD

紫お粥
That's right, your eyes are not deceiving you. I cooked up some purple coloured rice porridge last night, and it was quite interesting tasting...
It started when I acquired two cases of sour berries (more commonly known as blue berries) and was trying to think up ways to consume them. My first thought was to throw them into curry, but I didn't feel like making it without meat. So I went for my second option and cooked rice porridge with it.
The recipe (or the lack thereof) is very simple. Just slow boil half of cup of rice as if making normal rice porridge, then dump 2-3 dozens of sour berries in. After one episode of anime, purple rice porridge awaited to surprise me (yeah, I blinked and just stared at it when I saw it). Then I added more water, threw in some veggies and a preserved duck egg, and went back to watch another episode. Et voilà!
The end result had a rather interesting taste (still very edible, mind you), so I called upon my trusty shredded pork (past best before date) to the rescue. Not bad, if I do say so myself. I think I just need to re-adjust the amount of sour berries I put in the next time.
Of course I'm gonna try again. That's why I froze the sour berries. XD
Since food is an integral part of my life in Ottawa, I figured I might as well make a separate label for it. This can also help me in documenting my cooking experiments! XD

二本目の樹
My second gremz tree! ( ﾟ ∀ ﾟ )
This one took 102 days, so I guess on average it takes about 90~100 days to grow a tree with daily posting.
Now I have two trees waiting to be planted. It'd be great if it happens this year! :D

I was going to watch a video on Niconico when the Live Broadcast alert sounded and flashed overhead. It's for the Niconico booth @ Fancy Frontier 17 in Taiwan.
I've heard of the Taiwanese version of Comiket for many years but rarely paid any attention to it simply because I'm not as interested in doujinshi. So I thought I'd check it out to see what FF is all about.
The live broadcast was supposed to last about 4 hours, but after 2 hours and some, I got kicked out due to the high attendance. Neko-tan stayed on, so they might had kicked ppl out starting from the front seats. I pretty much started from the beginning, while Neko-tan started after the majo left for the 1st time.
My favourite part, of course, was when a certain majo cosplayer appeared and a slew of mahou shoujo neta ensued. It was absolutely chaos (in terms of neta) and so fun! XD
A few more interviews of passing cosplayers later, the majo returned to the area and lingered in the back. Everyone wanted him to go back on screen again because...
He's got the 'after' face this time with the remnant of a certain blond hanging out from his mouth! XD
The singing didn't really interest me... The only Niconico performer I kinda follow is くりむぞん and occasionally a few others, but most are old timers. I haven't spent enough time on Niconico digging for new performers in a long time.
Went back to the live broadcast about 20-30 minutes after I got kicked out, just in time to see them switch from REI (hiding behind a certain QB), the only person I was interested in for the whole live broadcast, to the next illustrator. orz
Impression of the three live sketches :
Sakurano Tsuyu - game promotion art (she actually coloured it...?!)
MW - normal sign board sketch (can't believe she even personified the events... orz)
REI - doujinshi (頭付きの先輩！)
There was a very short bit about Animelo @ Shanghai that's taking place at the same time. The host was trying to ask the small crowd about their thoughts on Animelo, except he was speaking in Japanese to Taiwanese. So no reaction whatsoever from the crowd. XD
Then the cosplayers outside in the rain and the itasha. A Snake slipped and fell during a mock mission after running down the slippery stairs and did a sharp left turn. Pretty funny when looking from the top of the stairs. XD
There's also a homeless Snake taking shelter from the rain in his box right by the itasha area, quietly playing on his PSP in the rain... XD
All in all, the 3 hosts were obviously amateur so there were a lot of awkward moments of silence, and the spirit of the place just kinda felt dampened. It'd certainly had made the 4+ hours more bearable and fun if there's better hosts. I do commend them on them using Japanese and the tidbits of neta they threw out throughout the programming.

計算はそんなに甘くない
今天看的バクマン提到特別算計好的場面可能會引起反作用讓人覺得做作而失敗（雖然後來最高還是説要邊進行邊算計）。
之後看了某獸醫日劇，算計好的部分應該是父女相隔八年後重修和好讓人感動的場面。結果我只對兩人重逢之前的野狗不治死亡那裡哭得稀里嘩啦，人類部分完全沒感覺。
算計的效果： 好啦，對一般人可能有效。:Q
之後看了WEED，算計好的部分應該是ジェロム被逐出後，狂四郎帶人狗離開要跟著ジェロム，這時ジェロム跟哲心兩邊分別的仁義教導。結果我整話都被崩壞到不可思議境界的作畫岔開注意力（看Nico上的留言，不止我一個ｗｗｗ），不過看留言，原作這裡似乎描寫不錯。
算計的效果： 再怎麼算計而沒有作畫撐住還是有難度... 雖然有60冊，還是找機會去補完漫畫好了。
之後看了聖鬥士，算計好的部分應該是紫龍為了救變成石頭的瞬跟星矢而不惜自毀雙目。我小時候漫畫看到這裡的時候覺得紫龍真是個男子漢，可是動畫插了莫名其妙的Steel Saint，還在這裡邊擦淚邊説了句「可惡，讓人想哭啊！」之類的台詞，結果害我大笑。

懐かしいな
I used to listen to internet seiyuu radio a lot a few years back, but only sparingly from time to time nowadays. These past few days I suddenly had the urge to play some casual games, and my preferred BGM when playing brainless games is either drama CD (ah, I should go back to translate Superior...) or internet seiyuu radio.
The majority of internet seiyuu radio programs are series-based and only temporary, while some of the non-series-based ones may last for years. Even though I can't understand every single sentence or topic, I feel rather at ease listening to the seiyuu chat. It's nice to hear them talking in their normal voice and share their experiences, which is kinda like that of a celebrity's but yet not quite. They usually reveal a lot of their personality on radio as well. XD
I just weaned myself of casual games tonight, at least for another while, so I won't be listening to internet seiyuu radio for hours every night now. But I found a few programs that I think I'll follow whenever I remember.

Animax Musix Fall 2010 Part.2
之前以為展開篇總共四篇，結果似乎是三篇的樣子。

It's time for another 6-month Soramimi ranking!
I think using only the total number of works seen is unfair for seiyuu who doesn't work on as many series (that I've seen) but play more important roles, so starting from this one, the format will be as followed:
Name
Number of works seen
Number of lead roles
Number of regular roles
(name: seen/lead/regular)
Using Bleach as an example, only Ichigo and Rukia are considered lead roles. The shimigami from Soul Society are mostly regular roles unless they don't appear enough. The Bound and zanpakutou are not regular roles as they only appear for the single arc, so they are just guests in the grand scheme of Bleach. They normally would be considered regulars if the series isn't 300+ episodes... The three plushy supposedly made by Uehara in the anime are considered regular roles since they seem to have taken permanent residency at the shop, as much as I don't care for them.
Characters who died in the series but are often remembered through flash backs might be considered regular roles even if they died in the 3rd episode. If the image of a certain musket-wielding blond girl appears here, yes, that's who I am referencing.
Characters who have their own routes in renai games are counted toward lead roles.
I scratched the merchandise count because it's a pain to try to remember all the stuff I own (and do I count things on order or kept at a friend's place?). I also keep about 30 CD's at work, all anime or seiyuu related. Too much work to keep track for the ranking purpose.
Now that's out of the way, here's the top 10 list of Soramimi seiyuu of whom I've heard the most.

However, anime watching is never so straightforward as seiyuu is only one factor in determining the quality of a series. It might be the only driving force if an anime sucks to a degree but has a good cast or lead characters, but it's not an everyday occurrence.
Only 2 female and 2 male seiyuu are in my surveyed top 15 list (for each gender). It would be interesting when I add more seiyuu from the top 15 list to Soramimi and do a comparison then.

冬番アニメ感想
Finally started on the winter season series. Here's my impression 1/4 or 1/8 way through the series, according to my viewing order. I think it's fair to judge a show after 3 episodes, especially if it's only one cours long. *Spoilers ahead, proceed at your own risk*
Starry☆Sky ep.1-3（第1-6話）
- 前も言ったが、これは単なるキャラクターPVの様なもの、一人一話分ぐらいのアピールタイム
- もちろンストーリーには期待しない、でも声優陣は本当に凄い
- やっぱりゲームをやらなきゃ、こんな豪華な声優陣には勿体無い
Freezing ep.1-3
- やっぱりストーリーと設定がイマイチ
- 演出はフザケ過ぎで面白い。画面はすっごく酷いけど、パンツと乳首の意味で
- 今のところ、どんなキャラでも好きじゃない
- 音楽はなかなか良い、特に戦闘BGM
Wolverine ep.1-3
- 原作を全然知らないから、ただの超能力者の話と考えば、普通に面白い
- 演出はなかなか、けど絵は酷い、わたし的にはギリギリセーフってところかな
- 朴璐美～♪
GOSICK ep.1-3
- OP映像は良い、キーパーソンとストーリーの流れも見える
- 画が綺麗で作画も良い、流石BONES
- 主役二人の声優はあまり知らないけど、期待出来そう
- 犯人は最初から見え見え、でも作品自体は普通に面白い
- コミネリサのEDテーマソング、相変わらずいい声
Dragon Crisis ep.1-3
- 堀江由衣のOPテーマソング、悪くない
- 画像はまあまあ。GOSICKの後に、すぐこれを見ましたので、尚更
- 面白さは普通以下、見物は声優だけ、期待大外れ orz
魔法少女まどか★マギカ ep.1-3
- やっぱりキャラクター原案はどう見てもすっごく残念（ネコたんのお陰じゃなかったら、きっとこれを見ない）
- キャラの顔以外は結構行けてる、主役の声優はよく知らないけど
- 梶浦由記の音楽を聞いたら、何か欝展開になるような気がする...（第一話時点で）
- もしかして、いつかカミナ兄貴のような散ることになるって思ってた（第二話時点で）、まさか本当に…
Infinite Stratos ep.1-3
- 第一話の冒頭はいい感じ（敵はまさか篠ノ之束の関係者とか？白式は何回のshiftになったかな、カッコイイ）、戦闘シーンはちゃんと期待を裏切らない出来みたい
- 主人公以外は全員女、やっぱりハーレム気分になるが、一夏はちょっと天然バカすぎて、見守るのも楽し
- 内山君、男一人でよく頑張った、偉い子！XD
- キャラクターとメカデザインは悪くない、ペースも上出来、結構面白いアニメだ
Fractale ep.1-3
- 雰囲気はちょっとだけジブリぽい。まあ、絵は別の話だがな
- ネッサかわいい！花澤香菜は素晴らしい！
- 発想は何だか現実的だな、普通に面白い
- まさかのテロ活動、ある意味でまどかマギカの第三話よりショックを受けた…
放課後のプレアデス 全1話（第1-4夜）
- 結構宇宙（そら）と星が大好きので、普段魔法少女は見ないけど、これを見てみた
- 桑島法子さんカッコイイ！イケメンすぎ！
- 絵はすごく綺麗、演出も作画も優れる
- 一話しかないから、ちょっと展開は早い、解けない謎も多い、でも全体的に良い雰囲気
夢喰いメリー ep.1-3
- OP映像と本編の絵は良い
- 藤原のおやっさん！羽付きの遠藤綾さん！
- 戦闘シーンは悪くない、でもやっぱりアレを見ました後、魔女の結界幻界の中に戦う時アレを思い出す。特に第二話のあのシーン、だな
君に届け2 ep.0-3
- 絵の色は相変わらず柔らかいで綺麗
- 前よりずっと切なくなっている、なんて哀しい～（つд｀）
- 早く第1期の頃、あっちこっち溢れてたその青春と恋愛の眩しさを返せ！
これはゾンビですか？ ep.1-3
- まさかこっちも魔法少女魔装少女がいるｗｗｗ
- 思ったより面白い
- 主人公とヒロインたちは一人一人が個性的、キャラクター設定はちょっと定式的でもあるが、飽きたりしない
- ハルナの玉子焼きすっごく美味しいそう、食べたいな…
べるぜバブ ep.1-3
- アニキ！！
- ベル坊は泣きすぎでちょっとうるさい、でもそれを無視すれば結構面白い
- わたし、やっぱりジャンプ系が好みかな
レベルE ep.1-3
- バカ王子の浪川大輔と護衛の子安武人乙です！XD
- よく分からないけど、結構オチがあるので面白い
- 世界平和と言えば、野球だ！
So that's 13 new series, excluding the one-episode Pleiades, for the winter season that I'm following. Add to that other ongoing series, I'm basically trying to manage 20 series before the big season starts in April.
After three episodes, my current top 5 in terms of expectation are Infinite Stratos, 夢喰いメリー, 君に届け2, これはゾンビですか？, and 魔法少女まどか★マギカ (just ignore the rectangular faces). Still, nothing jumped out to me like Star Driver did from the fall season.
I look forward to the spring season!(おい)

料理は難しい
Being a lazy and gluttonous person, I don't particularly like to spend too much time on cooking my food. However my laziness leads me to food experiments from time to time, and the results are usually pretty satisfactory. Until tonight.
While it's easily edible and didn't taste like mystery meat from another planet, I kinda think it's a failure. Who would have thought the lack of garlic made that much difference? orz
Okay, so maybe I also used the wrong type of soy sauce (best before: 2010 October) and added a bit too much sesame oil while marinating the chicken wings. But it's supposed to taste good nonetheless. :(
The legs tasted not bad, but I couldn't say the same for the wings. It even got to the point that I just wanted to hurry up and finish them so I could move on to some Häagen-Dazs.
I blame it on Ottawa weather. My wings were good when I made them back home. :Q
Might just stick with buying frozen wings instead of making them myself from now on. So much for my first attempt on poultry in the township of Ottawa. orz
I was planning to bring some for a friend tomorrow, now I'm not going to. I'll finish the rest myself tomorrow...

I was watching a pre-air special for the Japanese drama Bartender when I came across this little piece of trivia.
「最初はグー、じゃんけんぽん！」
This famous phrase can be heard in almost all aspects of the Japanese culture, and I thought it's been around for ages. I never paused to think about its origin, so I was quite surprised when I learned that it's coined by the comedian Shimura Ken.

A high school buddy commented while we were in university that our math professor looked like Shimura Ken. I've never seen Shimura Ken until now so I could neither agree or disagree with him back then...

I've never read the Bartender manga and have yet to finish the anime version. The pace for the anime is really slow, kind of like ARIA but with a different sense of healing, and is obviously adult-oriented with the various work and life related issues. Wonder what the drama version will be like?

This famous phrase can be heard in almost all aspects of the Japanese culture, and I thought it's been around for ages. I never paused to think about its origin, so I was quite surprised when I learned that it's coined by the comedian Shimura Ken.

噂の白い悪魔
This anime seems to be all the rage out there right now, and references to certain scenes can be found everywhere. While I personally didn't find the scenes to be so staggering, I appreciate the fact that I'm able to understand the neta.

Animax Musix Fall 2010 Part.1
之前的artist selection篇是把七個小時濃縮成類似digest之類的東西，這個則是展開篇，總共有四篇。
有*符號的是在artist selection篇裡寫過的歌，沒其他感想的話就會跳過不寫。

*- SCANDAL： 瞬間センチメンタル（鋼の錬金術師 FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST）
- SCANDAL： KOSHI-TANTAN（ルー=ガルー）
第二首的曲風完全在我的守備範圍外，更別提那個聽起來含含混混的RAP。對主唱以外的較高音苦手。
- 黒崎真音： Magic∞world（とある魔術の禁書目録II）
感覺歌聲稍微有被配樂蓋過，不過整體來説表現不錯。曲子是第一次聽到，似乎是勉強在範圍内的曲風，要看是誰跟怎麼唱吧。
- LISP： あなたにVacuum!～ちょいかため～
根本沒聽過的團體，被猫提起的時候才知道是聲優，曲子當然是沒聽過。聲線都在範圍外，那一連串的バキュン跟動作讓我想到中島愛。orz
- 下川みくに： 南風（フルメタル・パニック! The Second Raid）
低音！她是降了幾個key啊，高音也唱不太上去的感覺，還走音。我還蠻喜歡原曲的説。orz
- HIMEKA： 明日へのキズナ（戦場のヴァルキュリア）
HIMEKA還是一樣漂亮～：D 這首沒播全曲有點殘念。

等等，下川みくに妳唱別人的歌比自己的歌要唱得好是怎樣啊～～
- HIMEKA： God knows...（涼宮ハルヒの憂鬱）
不及May'n唱的超讚版本，換氣有點明顯，但是HIMEKA全身全霊的全力演出很棒，有唱出自己的風格～

- 下川みくに： 水の星へ愛をこめて（機動戦士Zガンダム）
北美版的ZガンダムDVD因為歌曲版權的關係沒放原曲，但是還是有在別的地方聽過。下川みくに版本也不錯，不過聲音的音質很明顯地跟FMP時期相比變了很多。

原曲沒聽過所以無法比較，不過主唱跟其他幾個人的聲音真的有差，聽到不同人的高低音的時候有違和感。
*- 中川翔子×SCANDAL： Don't say "lazy"（けいおん！）
只有一個人唱的時候還好，多數人一起唱的時候就感覺混亂了，合不太起來。樂器演奏的部分還不錯。
*- 中川翔子: 空色デイズ（天元突破グレンラガン）
- 中川翔子: RAY OF LIGHT （鋼の錬金術師 FULLMETAL ALCHIMIST）
- 中川翔子: フライング・ヒューマノイド（世紀末オカルト学院）
中川翔子跟平野綾一樣屬於現場演唱就會太用力反而弄巧成拙的類型嗎？出場前在移動時唱的還不錯説。
FMA那首沒那麼用力就好一點，雖然有點走音。不過FMA2還沒看，在等Blu-ray版part4出來以後一次衝完，所以歌曲是第一次聽到。
最後那首靠近結尾部分的音走掉了，不過除掉那裡不算的話應該是中川翔子在這場裡唱得最好的。
除了演唱會最後一首全員合唱以外，HIMEKA跟黒崎真音的出場都就此結束。
在眾多アニソン歌手當中，HIMEKA與生俱來的個人風格還算突出，畢竟是非日裔歌手，非常期待哪天唱英文或法文的歌。これからも応援続きます～
黒崎真音以目前在HOTD跟ANIMAX MUSIX聽到的來看，歌唱力不差，但是還沒能打動我或讓我認出她的歌聲，在我的個人名單上仍是未知數，不過也許可以期待。

伝説の杏仁豆腐の伝説
以前書けた事でもあるが、杏仁豆腐は豆腐じゃないってことを知らなかった、食べたこともない。
そして今日！つい、ある中華飲茶のお店に、あの伝説の杏仁豆腐を食べさせて頂きました！
口に含んだ質感ついて、ゼリーでも、プリンでも、豆腐でもない、ちょっと面白い。結構いけると思う。
ついでに、他の不審そうな点心も試してみた。
牛肉腸粉とか、外見は物凄く怪しいの海苔巻き唐揚げとか、三角の形した叉焼酥とか。
どれもこれも見たことない物なので、ちょっと冒険気分～
まあ、別に変なモノだけを狙いてた、定番の注文もあったしからな。
御馳走様でした！

Freezing!
No, I'm not talking about the anime series starring Noto Mamiko. I'm talking about the grocery shopping I did today, which turned into a frozen food run at the end.
So my freezer was fed the following when I returned:
- 3 tubs of Häagen-Dazs (I knew it's going to go on sale when they filled a whole open freezer with it yesterday)
- a bag of raw frozen tiger shrimp
- a bag of frozen carrot
- a box of frozen honey garlic chicken wings
- a pack of chicken gizzards & hearts
Okay, the last item isn't frozen, but it's going to be braised with the pack of pig hocks I'm defrosting in the fridge. The bag of frozen carrot is also going in.
I was going to make curry with the pig hocks, but I think my soy sauce (maybe even both bottles) is already past the best before date, so I thought I should use it.
Oh, and I did get regular groceries yesterday so I'm not just surviving on frozen foods. No need to worry.
On a completely unrelated note, my HDD capacity fell to 3.x GB at one point today. orz

一月検討会
Back in the beginning of the year, I listed a few things I'd like to do this year. Let's do a quick review after the 1st month.
① keep my weight at the current level (OK, maybe get it down to that level...) so the first digit doesn't start with 7 when the number is rounded-up
- I don't have a scale so I don't know where my current level is at. But judging from the gradually decreasing looseness of my T-shirts, I think I'm not doing too well in this category...
② finish translating the シューピアリア drama CD and posting on 冒険の書
- I started on the 1st track and am still on the same track. Understanding something and putting something into words of another language really are two different beasts...
③ finish reading at least H2, とらドラ, and 植物図鑑
- H2: at vol.2 out of a total of 17 volumes (wide edition)
- とらドラ: at vol.3 out of a total of 10 volumes + 3 spin-offs (still need to acquire the 3rd spin-off volume)
- 植物図鑑: haven't touched it this year yet... I might wait until I'm done H2, then re-read this from the beginning
④ finish at least one of Chrono Trigger, FF IV, or DQ IV
- Chrono Trigger: side quests before the last boss fight
- FF IV: Dark Crystals arc
- DQ IV: end of ch.1
⑤ buy a pair of shoes to leave in the office for winter
- hahaha... This might not happen until after the winter is over...

Snow Day!

They did start sending ppl home around after 3pm due to bad weather, although I didn't think it's necessary.
Really, 10-15cm is nothing. Maybe for Vancouver where no one has snow tires, but definitely not Ottawa. In fact, I'm kinda disappointed that I have yet to see decent amount of snow since I moved. Come on, Ottawa! You can do better than this!
Let's see if next Monday will bring us a bit more snow as forecasted...

今日もニコニコした？
While watching ep.14 of WEED on Niconico, I got distracted by a news item displayed over the video player. A few clicks after, I stumbled upon these very interesting videos.
Theme song of Doraemon put together by the sound effects from Street Fighter II. Pure awesomeness. XD
There's also one for the theme song of Sailor Moon, but I find this one better.
One of the BGM's of my university days! Really makes me wanna play the game. Not having beat the game is a big disgrace for my short and shallow gaming career...
Now, something serious. I think one can easily realize the force of our living Earth without being a geo or eco person.
