2013年 秋アニメ

I only just finished the round of 3 episodes earlier this month (and nothing at all in the past week and a half), and now I'm watching the Intro PV for the fall season...

境界の彼方
- Kyoto Animation
- looks like battle type against monsters? Rather unusual for KyoAni
- all right seiyuu cast; really don't care for Minorin's OP...

- P.A.WORKS
- I thought it's youthful daily type at first, but looks like there's mysterious beings involved
- over half of the main cast are newer seiyuu, but overall not bad; Ray's OP is nice~

- reminded me of Gurren Lagann half way through, turned out it's by the same team XD

- submarines and battleships type? Visuals not very impressive
- only recognized 2/6 of the seiyuu listed...

- original manga is from the Jump family
- not too interested in the bicycle race theme, but the manga is supposedly popular

ログ・ホライズン
- based on web series by the author of MaouYuu
- SAO probably came to mind for most ppl, but this is very different

ゴールデンタイム
- J.C.STAFF, but not the team that did Toradora
- didn't bother reading the original novel series and would have just passed the anime altogether...
- but Horie Yui is playing main heroine so...

- all female characters, not interested in the seiyuu cast

- I enjoy reading the original manga series and have been looking forward to this
- Natsume came to mind for most ppl, but this is very different

I knew it's going to be a big season this fall, but 44 shows is still a scary number. Well, there are a few short ones so it's really just under 40 shows. Many of the new anime adaptation series I'm somewhat familiar with and have been looking forward to since the news came out (i.e. BLAZBLUE, Tokyo Ravens, Strike the Blood, Gingitsune, COPPELION, Daiya no A, Log Horizon).

The biggest 本命 of this season is Kuroko's Basket. This is really a case, IMO, where the anime attracts more than the original manga. Another possible 本命 is VVV. As stated above, it's only a 本命 if L-Elf x Shoko happens. The Gundam series this year is obviously more merchandise-centric and probably won't have much of a story, but I miss having a TV Gundam series. AGE was merely a wannabe, period.

Now I know roughly what to expect, I can go back and pick up from the round of 3-episode for most series, including Majestic Prince and Kyojin (yes, from the spring season)...
